The IX CAP will be held in the city of Salta, province of Salta. This is the first time that a CAP will take place in the northwest region of Argentina.

Salta was founded in 1582 and still preserves its original Spanish-colonial style. There are numerous touristic attractions in the city itself and wonderful landscapes in its surroundings.

WHAT TO DO IN SALTA?

Salta's night is a box of surprises. It does not matter that we have made long and vital walks during the day: you never stop going out to dinner and witness one of the clubs that offer the most authentic of the Salta tradition.

While savoring the regional foods of this friendly land, the instrumental and vocal sounds of excellent Salta artists invite you to follow the rhythm with a handkerchief, napkin or feet.

There are always new alternatives to get to know Salta, la Linda (means "The Beautiful"). In this case, a very new one: Tourist Bus Salta, which allows you to get to know the most beautiful city in northern Argentina.

Empanadas, humita, locro, huaschalocro and tamales are the traditional foods of the Northwest of the country, but in each region, in each restaurant, in each house they have a particular preparation. The Christian faith of the Salta people and a religious event that occurred in the nineties gave rise to a procession that is repeated weekly.

The new High Mountain Archeology Museum displays an invaluable archaeological find discovered on the summits of the Llullaillaco volcano, one of the settings chosen by the Inca culture for their ritual ceremonies.

For hikes, bike rides, ATV tours or photographic safaris through the montane jungle, San Lorenzo is ideal. In addition to its ravine, the microclimate that combines exuberant vegetation, fresh air and clear waters, as well as its historical and natural richness invite you to return again and again.

From the old town hall, the Historical Museum of the North keeps true treasures of indigenous culture and the colonial period in Salta. It is one of the most important museums in the country due to the richness of its heritage, which summarizes centuries of Argentine and South American history. Located on one side of the 9 de Julio square, in what used to be the town hall, today he observes impassively the busy people of Salta who cross his "recova". For this reason, when we crossed the threshold, the silence of its courtyards inevitably transported us to another atmosphere.
